Everytime somebody gets offended about a grammar Nazi they always break out the "well if enough people are wrong eventually it becomes right" argument and I thought that was a pretty arrogant way of avoiding admission of ignorance. But now we've gone next level dumb because now being wrong is actually classist.
It's hilarious to me that the best example of this is the fucking morons who insist literally isn't being used correctly when it's an intensifier ("I'm literally going to kill myself today was so bad OMG you guys!!!"), despite being used that way consistently for over three hundred years.
These idiots are complaining that uneducated people are using words wrong and changing definitions, when they're actually complaining about themselves.
I in no way was trying to call out the guy I replied to, to be clear. I didn't even notice he used the word literally until I read your post, I just see this shit constantly and it sticks in my craw.
Jesus, the ignorance of elementary-level grammar rules in that thread fucking burns. Especially the guy who thinks "I could of my own volition" is correct.
Go sit in on a third-grade English class and stop being so fucking inept, god damn. If English is your native language you have no excuse for that level of stupidity.
I don't care about all the classism shit or whatever it is, but grammar corrections are rarely about helping the user who made the mistake and instead a way for the grammar nazi to jerk themselves off over being an autist and treating the internet like it's a college essay. Nobody needs that spammy "look at how smart I am" bullshit.

1 literally__trump 2017-08-04
I guess paying attention in elementary is only possible if your family is rich.
1 JakeTehNub 2017-08-04
That sub is full of dumb people from tumblr who get upset about pointless things and get into the stupidest arguments. Not really surprised.
1 wd40fragrance 2017-08-04
Speaking of could of, goddamn I wish these vidya game weaboos could off themselves
1 jubbergun 2017-08-04

1 ashent2 2017-08-04

rebuttal?
