My 17 year old friend stole 6 grand from his parents.

Basically, I have a friend who has suffered from loneliness. From his pit of depression, he somehow came to the conclusion that the only way to make friends would be to buy them. Out of nowhere, he started sending pictures of hundreds, to more hundreds, to thousands of dollars. He ended up buying thousands of dollars worth of computer parts and whatnot for others. About a few days in his parents noticed that they were missing thousands of dollars of cash, and he got busted. He ended up having to ask for everyone to return their hundreds of dollars worth of technology, and basically every single parent of every child involved ended up pissed as shit. I have no words for him.
Edit: here's a pic of some of the aftermath. His parents made him go to each house and take back the stuff he bought.

Considering the average child leeches around 350,000 from their parents

17?
The parents still have a few months time for a late term abortion. Would solve this problem.

"Because it was a gift so we own it now!"

I would be pissed at my kid for taking a gift like that. Obviously something is up and anyone who takes that is retarded.

Oh yeah this 16 year old is giving me and all my friends brand new things that no 16 year old can afford feasibly on his own...
Naw let me just pretend to be gullible enough to accept this because it obviously won't turn out to be too good to be true...

Who has 6 grand just lying around? Do the parents have a small business or are they drug dealers or what?
1 fuck_la_drogue 2017-08-08
Well mate, after you get out that stinky high school you'll see you can actually save money while having a great job.
1 bareballzthebitch 2017-08-08
Most people (me included) keep their money in the bank. And use checks, cash in small quantities from the atm or debit or credit cards.

They were planning on sending the money to relatives in another country. They had the thousands of dollars in envelopes which my 17 year old friend happened to find.

Did he give them souvenir checks?

Reminds me of that dude/troll on /r/legaladvice who gave his friends novelty checks and they cashed them.
