In 2015 the school board voted to reconfigure the district for Fall 2017. Parents were so riled up that they elected an anti-move board member who started July 2017. After "graduating" from their elementary schools the board voted to rescind the reconfiguration. Parents for the move appealed to the State Education Commissioner who ordered a stay on the switch back to K-6 elementary schools. The parents are very, very divided. Kids don't know where they're going to school in September.
