I'm pretty disgusted with America myself lately but you might want to look at heroin addiction on a human level and not natural selection/population control. When you see a good person, that you care about, completely lose their soul and life because of a drug you will feel differently.

After they're done a good stealing spree they come crying back. The cycle continues. Every support system we offered was shut down for crack. If they're clean I talk to them. The other 80% of a time they don't exist to me.
