Even if it's well intentioned, it implies that the perception of these immigrants supercedes the wellbeing of the children. The whataboutism seems to be a very thinly veiled justification/defense of these criminals, with the idea being "you can't be mad at them unless you are mad at everyone else too!" without consideration that this increase in pedo crime is exactly one of the main concerns of immigration.
