Oh look, an Anime full of Japanese characters is now a whitewashed live action show. Because Goddess forbid Japanese characters be played by GASP!!! actual Japanese people.
That's my biggest pet peeve… all these people saying you should watch original and then, when you finally find time, you want to destroy the TV and DVD and everything in sight for being so stupid to believe some pimply basement dweller might have an ounce of aesthetic sense.
What's funny is with the upcoming fullmetal alchemist live action movie (which has a setting based on medieval europe) has japanese people complaining about the characters all being portrayed by japanese people.
It's even more absurd than that, in the cartoon Ryuk says the death note is in English because it's the most common language on the planet, and it landed in Japan by chance, could have been anywhere.
I doubt these idiots screeching have ever even watched it and are just your typical SJW crazies looking for something to moan about.
