That's when Canada decide that they won't be able to win with fair play. They start to play more and more dirty as the game moves on and they're constantly up in the ref's face. He's lost control of the game. Forsberg picks up the puck by the boards. That's when the heavy and goony Canucks see their big chance. Take out Forsberg and you take out Sweden.

Niedermayer viciously thrusts his whole body in one of the dirtiest and most obvious boarding tackles the sport has ever seen. Forsberg goes face first into the boards where sinister Canadians are trying to use their sticks to poke him in the eyes as he falls. This is too much to ignore even for the bribed ref. Niedermayer is out, but so is Forsberg. Even though he valiantly tries to play on he's clearly shook.

The whole Swedish team is shook. They could never imagine anyone would want to dirty themselves to that degree just to win a hockey game. Sure, hockey is a tough sport, but there's a difference between playing rough and attempted murder.

As soon as they realize the state of their fallen comrade they make the only honorable choice; they stop playing. Canada has already proven who the legitimate winners are with their obvious contempt for the game.

The game ends 3-5 to Canada and the dumb fuckers celebrate as if they earned the victory. The Swedes swear an oath. We'll show them in the Olympics in 2006. We'll get our revenge, but not by disrespecting the game we love as is customary in Canada. Instead we'll show them how it's really meant to be played. Hockey is our game.
