Vintage: Sinaboo uses ancient Confucian meme magic to predict 2016 election, fails.

On September 30, 2016, American Confucian (read - weeaboo but for really old Chinese books) Sam Crane used the Yi Jing, better known as the I Ching, to predict the outcome of the 2016 presidential election. He got the Hexagrams Waiting and After Completion, which he interpreted as a Hillary victory. His reasoning is here. Then Trump won, so obviously that couldn't be right. Oh wait, the Yi Jing is never wrong despite being written thousands of years ago for a completely different culture. So instead, Crane completely reinterpreted his hexagrams, to predict what had already happened. His reasoning is here. See how the Yi Jing is absolutely infallible! Like any good portent, it can only be misinterpreted.
