Wait, this wasn't bot behavior, it's not spamming every single comment, in fact this bot is presumably banned but then it posted when someone pinged u/snallygaster? And it has rainbow flair now.
Curious to know whether it's satire or not, I've had a long-standing argument with a friend about it. She says it's trash, I say it's carefully-constructed trash (for example, the author is always sure to pick the funniest "wrong word" in every situation, things like that)
The main argument against it being satire is that nobody would waste that much time on something that bad as a joke, though I think the existence of /r/Drama is enough evidence that there are plenty of people on the Internet with way too much free time.
Was My Immortal genuine, or a troll fic? Why did you write it?
I’ve been told the official book description is coming out soon, so I think I can finally say it. My Immortal was a troll fic. Sorry if this disappoints anyone, but I thought it was obvious.

Your condescending, contradictory bullshit isn't attractive to anyone except your frothing, basement-dwelling, virgin army.

Nice to see Buzzfeed do some journalism that actually matters for a change.

Is this is that Rose Christo, then I guess we finally unearthed the psychopath. Certainly the way she writes is a cringe fest
1 OniTan 2017-09-06
What else has she written?

Fuck this story. The only My Immortal that matters was written by Ben Moody David Hodges & Amy Lee.
1 cleverseneca 2017-09-06
So apparently this has nothing to do with "Immortal Beloved" the mysterious lover Beethoven wrote a letter too... how disappointing.

I was actually thinking it was the song by Evanescence, which confused me because we already should have known who made it.
1 grungebot5000 2017-09-06
so wait, it wasn't Stephen King?

The Stand is such a great book. There's one character in it that I feel really captures the spirit and personality of r/Drama.
1 SamWhite 2017-09-06
Bullshit, he ends up getting laid repeatedly.

Yeah but it's with a woman so does it count?

yeah, whoever makes that argument really underestimates how far some will go to get a rise out of people.

Apparently the average Buzzfeed reader is so retarded that they need a picture every paragraph in order to stay invested in an article.
1 aliceunknown 2017-09-06
Ahh, I grew up on HP fanfic and I remember this.

Still think that whole thing was just a clever troll.
