As long as there is no active investigation they might be able to. They often deny FOIA requests if the person is alive due to the possibility of them needing to add more to their file.

You might be able to through a FOIA request but they might deny it. Some people have a file with nothing more than what they needed for a security clearance. Every interaction you have that becomes something the FBI needs to look at, they will likely add it to your file. If you report anything to the FBI, they will add it to your file.
