So a little while ago I made this post about a guy who I banned in a subreddit and then he get all salty about it. He's been hounding us about this for about 3 weeks now and I feel like this is a good time to release the sequel. I'll try and keep it as short as possible.

So immediately after he was banned he barged into a related subreddit that I own and spewed this bullshit. His last reply is in red because I banned him via AutoMod because I wanted to see if he kept going around talking like that but he stopped pretty soon. But the real content was what he said in the modmail.

Every single time the 72 hour mute period ended he'd pop back into the modmail on the subreddit he was originally banned on. So today the cooldown ended again, and while I was off not being at my computer, our CSS mod was replying to him and what ensued was... this. Props to our CSS mod for the golden replies. Bonus points to one of the other mods for making fun of him as well.

And our CSS mod wants to unmute him to troll him again soon so there might be an amendment to this post.

But god he is such a pretentious fucking prick, isn't he?

It depends on what context. I'm not trying to be the stoic, silent mod that just enforced the rules. I don't get paid enough or at all to do that. If someone says stupid shit, I am absolutely posting it somewhere. If someone insults me, they will get the same thing. Only hardcore redditors would even care.

Basically; You already went there. Don't bother omitting his name if you're gonna post the drama anyway, he's a meathead that garbled on reddit, and it's not like you're giving away his contact information and home address - you're just calling him out on his bullshit.

I agree, only hardcore redditors would even care, the remaining 99% of us are just thinking "Aw, no username? That's kinda dull..."

Well I kind of thought I was the latter. Anyways, unless I had the explicit permission of everyone to show names, I wouldn't feel comfortable sharing them. You don't have a right to keep your messages secret if you send them to people, but I think he might get harrassed because some redditors are pretty terrible people.
