I honestly don't know Destiny from much more than this encounter, but I get the feeling that Destiny pretends to be much more intelligent and rational than he is.

I've listened to Dick for quite a few years now. Dick pretends to be much more irrational and unintelligent than he is. He masks his intelligence, I think because he finds condescension to be a graver sin than stupidity. I'm inclined to agree with him on this point.

People who think that lower intelligence is something to be ashamed of and worthy of attacking are fucking insufferable. I know a few people like this. They're usually just to the right of the distribution, and have the tendency to lord their mediocrity over those who might be impressed by it.
