The only real problem (with the animation) I could see was that it looks like someone trying to make it very obvious that they are an animator and look how animated my animations are. Every part of every character moves in this hyper-fluid wave pattern all the time, except when their expressions freeze as a gag. Which happens a lot for a two minute video.
I would bet money that this person wants to be the next don bluth so they're just copying him instead of getting their own style. An imitation will always be inferior to the original.
