I personally think homosexuality is a mechanism to protect species. You know how often animal offspring become orphaned because their parents die? I think homosexual animals/couples were made to pick up and raise these orphaned animals.
Though homosexual activity has been scientifically documented in the animal kingdom. It has never been documented that they do anything other than help each other get off.
I'm sorry, but these things have to be documented in the wild to have any veracity. This specific case has numerous problems, not the least of which is that the zoo personnel orchestrated it. I'm happy to read about incidents in the animal kingdom, but staging things to build up your narrative is not accurate.
Looks like we are shadowbanned (at leas these comments), but I don't think I said that there was proof on my side, or that they never would. My statement was that what has been observed in the wild by scientists is more sexual than social in nature. I would be very interested in seeing instances of same sex couples adopting in the wild.
