I mean not really most people are probably smarter than the usual peasant of let's say 17th or 18th peasants also there is a ton of more people and people live more easy today so the rate of idiots who would normally die because of this idiocy but didn't is raised
waste of money. there are far easier experiments, like lying down in the middle of a road. if the earth is flat you'll just remain lying down, but if it's curved then you'll start rolling down. better wait there for some time to make sure tho
A satellite could presumably orbit and go around and see the bottom. Although if the Earth were a flat disk I'm not sure how that all is supposed to work.

That won't be enough evidence. He will claim they were sabotaged. We need to send him up in a weather balloon.

if he flew into space and saw the curvature, he would claim all of the windows were televisions broadcasting a computer generated livestream.

As the barriers (cost/access) to information have been reduced so has the level of intelligence of the general population.
Clearly the Information Age should be renamed the Ignorance Age.

Wait what. Even if the Earth was a flat disc, from high altitude, you'd still see the discs edge as a curve..

camera's snapping pictures, look out window

But the very use of satellites proves the earth is round
