You really honestly think that's why e.g. Luke von Fabre starts off with washboard abs despite being a pampered noble prince who gets literally no exercise besides sword-fighting lessons; why Vaan is ripped all over despite starting out hunting rats for food (how is he even supposed to feed those gainz?); etc. etc. etc. And it's not even just musculature; they also have faces that I'm routinely told are hot by my female game-playing friends, too.
Like, seriously. Tell me what you think characters in video games should actually look like. Find something that you think all your friends will agree is not "problematic" in some way or another. And then tell me with a straight face that more than a tiny percentage of people would actually want to buy a game with characters that look like that. For that matter, check with your friends first and see if they even do agree, because I feel like I could find an argument against it no matter what you make the character look like. Heaven knows I've seen character designs attacked for a million contradictory things already.
Basically what i mean that [artwork in video games of female humanoid characters that are NOT REAL] creates this unhealthy attitude towards women and turns them in to sexual objects.
