I don't think its too crazy to extrapolate new infections out to population totals. Some of this is a little obfuscated i think on purposes, but if you dig in, the key numbers are that in 2015, heterosexual contact accounted for 24% of infections (9,339) , and hetero woman are 19% of the total infections (7,402), so 80% of all hetero infections. This is approximately 2000 heterosexual make infections. Now look at the bar chart below and you see that it says black hetero make infections were 1,926. That is amazing because we see from 9,339 - 7,402 = 1,937 male hetero infections at all in 2015. So unless I fucked up something here, and i don't think i did, there were 11 male hetero to hetero non-black hiv infections in America in 2015. How many were white and how many Latino is hard to say, but you know some of them 11 was undercover fags, too.
