This is a nice post and all, but I'm guessing that the only reason anyone is even arguing about this because these people believe 3D is superior to 2D.
I recently learned this from a coworker, apparently the ones that don’t normally speak Hindi have a problem with be forced to speak that language, but most people know English so it’s a good compromise.
Most of the official documents in India are in English. It's not because of some residual anglophilia, but because India has many languages all over. Each state may have their own official language especially for using in the courts, but even then an English document would be issued.
