Basically, FFXIV (an MMO, like WoW but for weebs) has implemented player housing in a particularly retarded way. There are five major cities in the game. Three of them have player neighborhoods where players can own houses. Fourth of them, obviously the coolest city in the game, has never gotten it. Why? Who the fuck knows, because devs are assholes I guess. Fifth city, and the first East Asian/Japanese-themed, has had housing unlocked today, some couple of hours ago, with the release of the new patch.
And of course, what happened was that since the game is obviously overrun with weebs, all the house plots were bought up in a matter of minutes, so all the people who missed out on them by waiting in queue, crashing, or not being able to log in, missed out. While there are other people who were lucky enough to snatch multiple houses. So the FFXIV subreddit, the official forums, etc. are all filled with people crying about it.

There was grind, much of it pointless, but the game was insanely good outside of that aspect. Oh and somehow everyone had their own moghouse with no complaints from anyone. I think the servers are still up. Goddamn it's time to reinstall.

One thing I remember clearly that annoyed me was that your character creation process showed a model that was very high poly count, but when you got into the game and zoomed in on your character there was like 1/3 of the polygons.
