/u/x0tt Not exaggerating a bit there? There's good cops and bad cops, mostly good cops. I've been in the cells a few times and know plenty of dodgy guys, never seen anything like that. In fact, most often I've been impressed by the police's calmness in the face of extreme provocation

[deleted] Ive been sitting in the back of a police car with a client and seen extremely rough treatment with my own eyes. So yes, I've seen it first hand. Plus, while it's beside the point, it's worth adding that the Victoria police that came to Chch after the quake were very rough compared to the Chch police. Your attitude in the cells is probably what got you a calm experience from the cops - but if people play up they get a fucking hammering. And by hammering, I mean police criminally assaulting handcuffed prisoners.

/u/x0tt think that there probably are some dangers associated with these fake cannabis drugs but the media is probably over-exaggerating the seriousness of it.

I feel that there should be serious consideration given to relaxation of the drug laws. Sure cannabis has some health effects but at least it has been studied in quite some depth. What worries me most about the synthetic drugs is that there's not a lot of serious testing been done so nobody really knows what they're in for. Better the devil you know.

[deleted] I have had a few friends get really sick over it, nausea, headaches, bed-ridden with fevers, etc. It's a not a nice thing to have.

Also, Trees subreddit creator admits openly to committing FRAUD to the community, 2 mods quit over it.

Also, a thread in /r/TheoryOfReddit with a bit more discussion, /r/trees moderator loads sidebar with advertisements, has a meeting on Monday about a "official partnership" between /r/trees and Magic Flight Launch Box. Is this OK?

As a longtime redditor and a mod here, I think this sucks. Just so you can all rest assured, there's nothing like that going on in /r/NZTrees - no affiliate links at all, no whoring our subscribers for kickbacks from advertisers.

I love a good witchhunt as much as anyone. I'd love to see /u/cinsure stand down as a mod and /r/trees carry on as my favourite subreddit (after this one of course). I don't think that's gonna happen though; his responses all show that he considers /r/trees to be his personal creation and property (so delusional) and that he sees nothing wrong with his actions so far. It's very similar to the drama that led to the original exodus from /r/marijuana to r/trees in the first place ie "It's my subreddit, I made it, I'll do what I want with it". Very much the opposite of the ENT ideal. The dude doesn't even smoke trees!!
