It's just a joke about how bad someone's week was, which it was a bad week from Weinestein's perspective.
If he responded to someone getting tackled with "He tackled him like he was a young actress in a hotel room with Harvey Weinstein" then I could see why jimmies were being rustled.
Doesn't matter how many women Weinstein sexually assaulted, he's still protected by the left. He's off limits for jokes. I think SNL did a skit about him finally but have you heard any late night comedians making jokes?
The shit hits too close to home for too many powerful people, especially those whose campaigns he donated to. Plus, he probably still has a bit of pull in Hollywood, even in his current situation.
Another illustration of how botchlings has terminal retardation, you don't realize why people are being pissy whiners about this. You think it's because they are trying to defend Weinstein? It is obviously because feminists see this as a joke making light of rape, for feminists this is like if a comedian went on the tonight show on 9/18/2001 and said "this was my worst week in New York since 9/11!"
Obviously we all knew you were an idiot but this is just another classic illustration of how you fail to pick up on social cues and context.
There’s some time for the controversy to sink in before it becomes acceptable to satirize. Bill Cosby’s rape allegations became mainstream a year after he was accused.
people are going focus more on a joke(not about rape bit about his downfall), than demanding the other sexual predators that we all know are in the industry be exposed. those who are not surprised by the Harvey allegations view this as bad PR stretch hence why Al felt comfortable to make the joke.
I posted about this on twitter and got some interesting responses. For context, I basically said it was a joke and people need to get the sticks out of their asses...a couple of the responses:
“The giants are coming off a worse week than the Vegas shooter.” Perspective?
and
What if your boss wants to see you leave that stick in your ass while he jerks off...or you’re fired? Can you see the issue now?

That would still be funny tbh

Both are absolutely hilarious IMO

What are you talking about people are mad because teh victims. Weinstein has been absolutely destroyed professionally
1 parameciidae 2017-10-16
Are you kidding? SNL hasn't done a skit about him which is the equivalent to him getting off scott free.

It's very hard not to notice that few of the usual suspects in comedy have said anything about this.
Perverts in Hollywood refuses to rat on other perverts in Hollywood.

May, if he would have been right leaning, he would get his own radio show like O'Reilly + a weekly invitation to show up on Hannity.

Both jokes are funny
1 newprofile15 2017-10-16
Yea and both result in you being forced to apologize if you want to keep your job (though you'd prob just get fired for the 9/11 one).
1 Superinfinitedeath 2017-10-16
Comedy used to be different. People got the joke and moved on. I'm not sure what's going on where people have to constantly apologize.

How do you think those Jerry Sandusky were received? I think they got shit on for one and just dropped it. Lessons were learned for this situation.
1 botchlings 2017-10-16
Pretty well. I certainly remember hearing a ton of jokes about Sandusky both when the scandal broke and when he was sentenced to prison
1 anubgek 2017-10-16
A ton of jokes from SNL? Please enlighten me. I'm pretty sure they ran one sketch and gave up on it cause it was too controversial.

He missed the the "no jokes not pre-written and pre-approved by management" memo.
But he doesn't care, he's an old veteran. He knew he was taking a risk and said fuck it.

James Corden also got BTFO by making jokes on this over the weekend.

I guarantee that everyone complaining about Al Michael’s Harvey Weinstein joke last night has laughed at the comedy of Anthony Jeselnik.
