a) I deleted my reddit account, but after I found this I just had to return.
b) I know that r/ drama is really not the best place for seriousposts, but my other options are mensrights or menslib, so I hope that highly educated subscribers will forgive me.
c) I am a female to male and molestation survivor myself - from the age of 9 to 11 I was molested, tortured and raped by a woman who worked at my orphanage
The law itself is not a problem, even their comments about said law aren't. Comments that have nothing to do with the law. Comments that have nothing to do with the law are.
" male sexual assault victims will never understand what it means to be raped while doing PiV"
I would even agree with that. But I would also agree with the statement that female sexual assault victims will never understand what it means to be raped by a woman if you're a man.
"and thus their experiences are lesser"
No one makes this point in the thread you linked. All they do is to argue about the legal definition of rape and if being penetrated by a penis against your will is worse or on the same level as being penetrated by an object against your will.
but I guess will have to wait until some transman will start raping women, eh?
FtM are not female infront of the law. Even the definition of rape in the UK covers it:
"penis” includes a** surgically constructed penis** if it forms part of A, having been created in the course of surgical treatment, and ...
"I'm glad someone understands the terminology matters so much more than a man being sexually assaulted. It is of the highest importance that a man can never feel like his ordeal is actually a rape. Let's fight about words instead of realising that a man who is anally penetrated by wathever it is will feel as raped as a woman penetrated by a penis"
Now, her/his/theirs/ klingon's spelling is worse than mine, but that is the general idea, or have I misunderstood?
Anally penetrated by whatever = raped by an object.
This is the part of "argue about the legal definition of rape and if being penetrated by a penis against your will is worse or on the same level as being penetrated by an object against your will." I mentioned above.
Under UK law, a man cannot technically be raped by a woman.
Whilst the UK definition of rape does require penetration by a penis, there is also provision (under the same Act - Sexual Offences Act 2003) to prosecute for both penetration from a foreign object or forcing someone into penetration.
So, yeah, while it’s “technically” not rape in the legal sense, you’re still going to be prosecuted. Sorry, fatties, but you’ll need that consent from the guy after all.

As Trump supporters would lay it out. The law is the law. Men can't be raped in the UK.
http://www.legislation.gov.uk/asp/2009/9/section/1
Want to change that? Change the law.
1 dukwon 2017-10-17
They can; but only by other men.

Crimes in prisons don't count.

Why?

Because once you're in, it's FFA.

You have misunderstood.
Anally penetrated by whatever = raped by an object.

Shit, so I posted this for nothing? No hypocrisy in all that thread?
1 Think_Once 2017-10-17
No. Being a male rape victim brings you always karma on reddit.
Only if you think that being penetrated by an object against your will is as worse as being penetrated by a penis against your will.
1 neveryousay2 2017-10-17
Well, thing is if I'd cared about karma on reddit, I wouldn't use a new account on ans post this on r/drama.
