Why can't you prove a simply negative to the posters of your sub? Simply go through all the IP logs and determine if any originated in Russia.
Only reddit admins have access to such information.
Remember the modus isn't on them to prove it's happening. It's on you to prove it isn't.
That's absurd. They're making the accusation: the burden of proof is upon them. If they can't provide any evidence to substantiate their accusations, then they should keep their unfounded suspicions and assumptions to themselves, instead of discrediting other posters based on their paranoia.
To get this out of the way /s. Tried to make that as evident as possible but since you were dealing with the unsarcastic version on your sub I can't say I blame you.
Second point is I honestly don't know how you deal with such paranoid babies on that sub.
But it's not happening here? I find it troubling that you are so adamantly convinced that /r/Canada is immune.
I find your lack of faith in the Russia conspiracy of /r/canada disturbing
Sorry about missing the sarcasm: I'm frankly a little bewildered and overwhelmed by the paranoia on display in /Canada today. Sure, we have our problems with trolls, but they're not all toiling away in some Russian troll factory while Putin personally oversees them from the back of his noble Siberian tiger steed.
The fact that some people think that our subreddit is important enough to garner the attention of Russian agent provocateurs is amusing enough in itself. What are Russian trolls going to do, not make a sympathy post to the Gord Downie megathread? Say they don't like poutine? Disparage our glorious leader's socks?
It's really not surprising when you realise that almost the entire US media (and consequently the CBC, which just employs people who wish they could work in US media) was beating this ridiculous drum for nearly a year.
smh. i can't even tell if that's genuine or just someone fucking with all of you to make you think that there are people that genuinely believe that. i don't think that going down that rabbit hole is good for my health, tbh.
There are a lot of people who want to have the "right" to label other posters as Russian agitprop agents so that they can discredit them and put a giant target on their back for downvotes. That's not going to be permitted.
Then there are people who genuinely believe that our problems are being created by shadowy foreign forces hell-bent upon destroying our society. These fearful people fixate upon a group they don't understand - like Muslims, or Natives, or Russians - and blame them for the problems in our society. The unfortunate truth is, we are sadly good enough at creating all of our own problems ourselves.
Confession: I'm a Russian shill on /r/canada. We're not doing what they think we're doing. It's true that we somewhat care about Europe. But we don't care about Canada. We want it to be as gay as possible. As brown as possible. As islamic as possible. We are the liberal shills and everytime I collect 100 upvotes I can rim Putin's bussy for 1 second with an upward limit of 10 seconds per month.

I actually do, I found the reversal very sudden and odd. Pre-2016 the democrats loved the russians.

Except for the Islam. Canada didn't create Islam. You just pozzed yourselves with it.

Those weren't Russian trolls. Those were regular /r/canada posters.
