Destiny 2 comes to PC and bansthafuckoutta 396 PC cheaters first day! #CheatersKYS

Destiny 2, the sequel to a popular Halo-clone franchise, released for PC today or yesterday (who cares) and a helluvalota people complained on /r/destinythegame that they were unfairly banned.

These "totally innocent" gamers swore on their mums' graves that they only had a Discord chat overlay and definitely didn't have any tools installed that would make them see through walls, or bots that make aiming super easy.

However...

The developers at Bungie aren't idiots. They manually reviewed every banned account and out of the 400 originally banned accounts from the PC beta (not the incel definition), 396 of the accounts showed "...players who were using tools that pose a threat to the shared ecosystem of the game."

What does this mean? It means that 396 accounts were using either wall hacks, aim bots, or both.

PC gamers aren't known for cheating or being completely toxic so I'm not sure who to side with here.

It's gonna be 396 reregistering faggots that will still keep bitching about their bans, oblivious to the irony they'll keep throwing their money at Bungie.

Is Bungie banning players like telling them to KYS? 🤔

This is you assuming that every cheater is dumb enough to post that they were banned for no reason.

I mean... yeah? They 100% are.

Lmao bungie devs were savage on twitter

I knew from the start it wasn't streaming software or Discord Chat overlays that were getting people banned because I was using the chat overlay without issue...

Bungie had an update: "Upon further review of our PC security measures, some bans have been overturned."

4/400 is fake news.
