Some kid did that at my prep school. Administration never did find out who did it and the local popo were involved. They did an investigation and everything! That was the last year that fundraiser happened. That class was notorious for being fuckups so I don't see why anyone was surprised.
I imagine it helped that the majority of the students were the children of politicians and other powerful people who could fuck up a police department’s funding. These kids weren’t stupid either and knew that a confession was necessary for anything to go through. No one talked, there were no cameras, dozens of people handled the money. Class of 2012 were basically sociopaths, they don’t react to stressful situations like a normal person would. I think the cops had a general idea of who did it but they were lobbying for new police cars and didn’t want to risk stepping on toes. They didn’t try very hard basically.
Jayden told and he will literally beat the crap out of me (I mean maybe even worse, he's scary AF when he drinks or hangs out with his dealer friends) and I can't say anything. I'm even worried Jayden will hurt my parents, he's not afraid of anything.
"Jayden"
chad
mma bodybuilder
band geek
hangs out with his "dealer friends"
gifted gussy getter
"Jayden" wasn't the band geek in this piece of fiction. He stole from the band geeks and then made fun of them for being fat and gay in his "Totally real, like it actually happened guys!™" boasting texts to his friend.
throwaway for very obvious reasons. I've been friends with Jayden (not his real name) for 10 years. We are kind of in what is called the "Chad" crowd at our school although I have lots of friends in all the groups. Jayden is like a wrestler MMA guy and he became a real bulky when he saw that made him more popular with girls last year. I try my best to distance myself from him but it doesn't always work because he is like the "key" to the popular and best looking girls.
Out school band has been having a long running fund raiser for uniforms. I have no idea how he did it but Jayden stole the money from the sponsors class room (I think, I honestly don't know). He texted me that he was so happy and said things like fat shaming, gay shaming---all stuff using derogatory terms about them not getting uniforms now. The school detective came and talked to all of us in the Chad group but no one said anything but the fact that he came straig to us means he knows more about what happened than Jayden wants to think
My deal with my parents is they pay for my iPhone but they get to look at it and if I delete texts it goes away so I never do. Once news of the money started to reach the parents they looked at my texts and there it was. My dad had a talk with me and said he wasn't going to say anything yet and was treating this as an oppurtinity to do the right thing in the face of real pressure. My mom gave me a similar speech. What they don't get is that I'm the only person Jayden told and he will literally beat the crap out of me (I mean maybe even worse, he's scary AF when he drinks or hangs out with his dealer friends) and I can't say anything. I'm even worried Jayden will hurt my parents, he's not afraid of anything.
What do I do?
tl;dr: Parents want me to tell on my friend for stealing money from our school band.
Edit: there’s a rumor going around School that two kids from band were arrested in the senior parking lot for stealing the money I have no idea what the hell is going on now.
Edit I dont know the rules of this sub but I guess I can't update or whatever from what I'm reading so I'll just do it here. things are crazy at the school today and this may even be on the news but the rumor going around is that two band people basically used Jayden as thier b_itch to steal the money from the sponsors room. They have been arrested and I guess Jayden took off from school the second he heard they were in trouble. The crazy thing is everyone is saying that Jayden has lost all his credibility because he was basically punked out by two band kids and I'm laughing my ass off and don't even feel bad for him. I texted him but I didn't get the delivered message so I guess he turned off his phone. Its one of those things where I have no idea what the truth because everyone is talking and everyone has a different version of events is but Jayden's car was gone before lunch and I'm supposed to have 4th period with one of the kids who was arrested and he wasn't there. I also wasn't the only one that Jayden bragged too but from what some of the other band kids said that a total of $1735 was stolen and Jayden was such a prison punk about it he let the other two kid keep $1500 and he only got the rest. I'm dying laughing and feel so stupid for being afraid of him because no matter what he got punked out by two kids from band.
Is it normal that the parents of a 17 year old would look through their texts? That seems really fucked up to me. At that point you're basically listening in to their conversations.
Probably not. But I'd imagine they'd do it if they thought the kid was in some kind of trouble.
Shit, if my kid's acting like their world is coming apart and won't talk to me, I'm not going to risk them suiciding/murdering/getting murdered just to respect their privacy. Would you?
Be a man. Chad or not, anyone with a tire-iron can pop a knee cap, and once you blow one of those, that leg will never be right again. And Chad's tend to be athletes, so you know they'll care about losing those scholarships and access to cheer pussy.
Then again, it should be noted that expelled from two different schools, so maybe my advice isn't the best in the world.

I see you've continued that class's tradition.

What are you suggestion, Herr Goy? 🤔

Was this in Manhattan in the last 7 years?
1 aliceunknown 2017-11-08
Maryland. The school covered it up so I doubt many people know of it.

SAD! I just assume all the other r/drama (((regulars also hail from the chosen capital of the United States.

I find it hard to believe. If the cops started questioning people, particularly at some punk-ass prep school, someone's gonna crack.
Either you're full of shit, or the cops didn't try very hard.

If he's a true Chad, then surely every agrees that he had more use for the money than some band geeks. Let him keep it, I say.

M8 not snitching on your their buddy in high school who you suspect pilfered the donation funds earns you maybe a week suspension. Slow your roll.

The kid obviously wasn't raised right, it's the next logical thing for his parents to be shitty.

Mayocide when?

Hopefully one of the band members snaps and shoots up the school. Extra points if he kills /u/123_Milo on a day that Jayden is absent.

do american highschoolers unironically refer to each other and themselves as chads now? surely not
1 uniqueguy263 2017-11-08
No. God no.
1 SocialJusticeYamcha 2017-11-08
Fking American highschools aren't really like this.. right?
Like he just casually drops 'school detective' like that's normal?
1 ShinyHitmonlee 2017-11-08
If you describe yourself as a "Chad" then you're not a Chad.
1 shallowm 2017-11-08
How would his parents know if he deleted some messages?
