I'm pretty sure I don't currently have a "mentor," as I understand that expression. I have a great many academic, scientific, entertainment, and engineering colleagues whose council and advice I seek routinely. It's just that I'm the grownup now, with the experience, leastways, I'm supposed to be. I have colleagues more than a mentor. Carry on.

I like how the climate change comment is getting downvoted because he uses the word "contrarian."

The redditor, like the Jew, can handled being called anything but their name.

Nobody gives a shit about climate change. Liberals only pretend to when Republicans are in power and they can use it as a political cudgel. Obama's 'efforts' were worthless. They wouldn't work, and were the definition of 'doing something to look busy'. But liberals never said a peep about that--hell, they pretended he was Captain motherfucking Planet.

It's like so much else on the left, they make good points...but they don't really mean it. It's just politics to them. As with climate change, the economy, income inequality and the rest; they run their mouths while out of power, and sit on their hands while in power.

/u/DontTrustRedditors is a massive subhuman who needs to keep himself safe but he's kinda right in this case.

Kill yourself, please. Your serious posts are both unfunny and poorly thought out.

An exception is the HFC phase out Kerry helped push through. Nobody noticed because of the election drama but it's going to do more than the Paris Pact ever would.

The major climate accord reached in Paris last December offers voluntary pledges, as The New York Times reported, which are "often vague and dependent on the political will of future leaders." This new deal offers "offers specific timetables to replace HFCs with more planet-friendly alternatives," and "maintains the legal force of a treaty," according to the Times.
