Where did you condemn the position, was it in another thread? In the linked thread you don't 'condemn' the position, I'd say it's more of a 'talk down to' which is lighter than 'condemn.' What I'm saying is you're trading lightly going against your beliefs in exchange for possible recruits
I said that it’s wrong in another reply, you can check my comment history. I don’t recall my exact words. My entire point is that there is granularity in the types of people that disagree with SSM. There’s a narrative that they’re all hate filled bigots, I gave an example of how that’s not the case that I felt is the most powerful and indisputable, but there are others but those are ones I’m sure people would try to find a way to tear apart. It’s easier to make judgements over a small summary of a person rather than knowing them intimately in person.
If it’s not clear already, though I believe it is, I’m for marriage equality as per my first comment. I think that it’s wrong to be against it, and there are certainly no lacking of people who are against it because they’re hate filled, but that’s not true of everyone and to paint all people against it with the same brush is wrong. That’s been my point. It’s obviously not been heard and that’s fine, after all we’re all just sharing our 2 cents here.
