When a 14 year old defends his relationship with his 26 year old teacher, I don't care that he really thinks it's love, because I believe he lacks the emotional capacity to understand what's wrong.
While you may have been alive long enough to legally be an adult, your lack of ability to understand what's wrong with you dating someone that much older indicates a lack of maturity to me that leads me to believe your emotional development is stunted and you're not capable of making those decisions as an adult. For that reason I don't support your choices, because I believe you lack the emotional maturity to make them as an adult.
Obviously you don't have to give a shit about my opinion, but I also don't have to pretend I think your relationships are healthy, safe, or smart.
I'm saying you should seek therapy for what I believe is an unhealthy obsession. I believe you had a traumatic sexual experience with a much older man when you were younger, and that has damaged you in ways you may not realize.
If I'm attracted to cutting off pieces of my body, I need help, not acceptance. Your attraction isn't as overtly dangerous, but is still unhealthy. I worry if you don't seek help you will deeply regret it down the road.
