Today the drama was real my friends, I've never in my life had more redditors PM me to tell me how shit my opinion is. But I hope you all see that I NEVER relented, and I want this thread to go down in Reddit history as the time when someone spoke up about the abuse he received in the Navy. If you guys can help me create even more of a stir I would really appreciate it.

I created /r/CBD, I fucking made that subreddit into existence and the point of that post was to tell people that the main mod there is actually a piece of shit who is actively taking money from the companies listed on the sidebar.

Whether your infantry or human resources, I hope that everyone is proud of their service. You had some realistic advice about finances, and we all know that's important. I say this as a former nuke who did get picked on because I took my job too seriously and was a top performer who didn't get a ton of accolades like others I saw skating all the time. I don't have a bad attitude about it. Instead I went out and did something about it and am making myself better. Also, you are not, and never were, a nuclear engineer. You didn't go to college for nuclear engineering, you didn't get a professional engineers licence as a nuclear engineer (or any engineering discipline for that matter), and you never had engineer in your job title/description. You were a nuclear operator and repair technician. Just because you worked in the engineering department of a nuclear ship doesn't mean your an engineer.

I served with a few nukes who would call themselves engineers in passing, and I would give them a pass because it could be interpreted as engineering department member given the context. When I was on shore duty there were enginemen and conventional mechanics who would say things like “of course I know how that torque wrench works, I’m an engineer!” to which I would respond “no, you’re really not. Like not even a little bit”. Legal aids or paralegals don’t call themselves lawyers. It’s the same thing.

I went through all the same training as you as a navy nuke myself. I was a submariner to boot and on shore duty I served with a bunch of ex Vinson nukes. I know exactly how hard you had it, you're a pussy who couldn't hack it. Get over yourself. The sooner you can honestly admit to yourself that you failed at being a navy nuke and that it was a majority your fault the sooner you can move on with your life and quit being such a waste of space. One observation I had was that you said calling someone else a shipmate was a bad thing yet you referred to them as shipmates, eve your friends.
Most people cannot imagine what those in the military go through and each of you put it all on the line for the freedom we all enjoy.

Yeah someone else mentioned that too, that's a keen observation. There is a difference though between describing my fellow sailors as shipmates and calling someone shipmate. Pretty much defective my entire life to be honest. But the Navy chose to take me in, and now I'm kinda their responsibility. That's the part about joining the military that people like you may never understand, it's a committment not just from you but from your branch of service. The Navy served to protect me as well, and I it.
So even if I did have a defect, or my brain was broken before joining the second that contract was signed it was now the Navy's problem. Guess they should have fielded their recruits better instead of relying on a fucking standardized test. Seems to me like your issue lies in the recruiting standards of the Navy, not in me.
