Kenshin is only one of the most popular mangas ever, so of course people are going to be concerned about its future availability. Weren't people worried about House of Cards? I know I'd be annoyed if all the great movies Kevin Spacey was a part of suddenly became unavailable.

Its a good manga but it makes sense no one wants anything to do with the creator. Besides weebs pirate all the time so why the fuck does it matter if they won't officially release it?
In my opinion he still deserves money for the work he creates though, whatever he does with said money is his own business. It's not like not buying his manga is gonna magically make all of the fucked up stuff in the world disappear and to think otherwise is extremely naive. (Not saying you think that way, just my general thoughts)

That basically sums it up if you want to put it that way, it's a shitty and unfortunate situation behind the scenes sure but that doesn't affect my judgement of the series. I mean did you see that hype fight when Kenshin had to fight Makoto Shisho, it's cool as shit! Though in my opinion the fight before that between Rurouni Kenshin and Sojiro Seta, the disciple of Shishio. That fight easily blows the Rock Lee vs Gaara fight out of the water. (Sorry, just my opinion, your free to disagree)

On an unrelated note, Black Lagoon and Jormungand are really cool to. The dubs are especially good if you haven't seen them I highly suggest giving them a watch.
(I do love both series. I prefer the dub of BL to subbed, actually. Never saw the dubbed Jormungand, will have to try it. RRK looks great, I have a soft spot for that nineties shounen animation style that will give you a fucking seizure.)

Yes, he was arrested for copious amounts of tapes (numbering in the 100s) in his office and home. It really is an unfortunate situation for Kenshin fans, but it is for the best that this news came to light.
