If you feel like he's a burden on you, you can either get him to help out with stuff, or break up with him, but at the most, I'd probably just be a little annoyed if it was a consistent thing. He might just be a little forgetful and learned to depend on you for it, in which case you might want to get rid of the problem by doing something like designating a large and visible key-holding place in your house, where your boyfriend could throw the keys and retrieve it from. If that doesn't work, just call him retarded and say "this is the 99th time you've asked me where the keys are, Jesus Christ."
If it seems like that's just an additional burden on you, think about the dynamics of the relationship. Does he ever help you out with stuff, or are you practically his mother? If you're happy with the overall relationship, then don't be afraid to try and work out little kinks like these. If you're not, then maybe rethink if he's the right person for you.
