One thing I have trouble understanding is how they say they believe in freedom of speech, but get triggered by people expressing their first admement rights to expression.

Even if you don't think that transgender people are valid, ultimately, people have the right under the first admement to gender varient behaviors.

If someone wants to cross dress, that's protected under the first admemenent, if a guy wants to wear makeup, then it's protected under the first admemenent, as people have the right to freedom of expression.

If you try to censor freedom of expression, because you get triggered by people exercising their right to individuality, then you can't claim to believe in the first admemenent and be an advocate for first admemenent rights.

First, I think it's important to realize that these people aren't really pro-free speech. Free speech is just a convient meme to latch onto, it gives them ammo to screech at the left.

An even better example of this is the meltdown the political right had when a few football players decided to not stand for the anthem, while at the same time pretending the reason they were against it was because it "disrespected America."
