This death is a somewhat surreal and shocking experience for me, as I discovered August Ames literally only a few days before she died - was watching some other lesbian video on Pornhub (I believe it was this one with Shyla Jennings) and just clicked on a few related videos that stood out to me - one of them featured her and Abella Danger playing "step sisters".
Wasn't familiar with either of them - found Abella Danger to be the most fascinating one in that pairing, however August Ames also made a very charming impression with her good natured spirit and playful attitude.
That was somewhere on 2.12. I think - and a few days later, she committed suicide; the twitter drama was probably already brewing at that point, or was just about to start. And on 5.12., merely a few days later, she committed suicide (or was discovered in that state).
"3 day ago", which must've been on 6.12 or 7.12., I posted thesetwo comments here on some unrelated thread - I didn't have the slightest clue she was dead.
Yesterday when I clicked on r/drama's "SRD taking moral highground while making fun of our favorite dead pornstar" thread, I had no idea who that might've been, or whether it was even a recent death - the thought that it could've been someone I'd learned about literally a couple days ago didn't even enter my head at that moment.
Then when I saw a "RIP August Ames" comment somewhere in the middle of one of those really long threads, I initially thought it was a joke.
Don't know if there's much more that can be said about this incident that hasn't already been discussed at length (regarding the depression issues, the idiotic zeal of the twitter bullies and the political angles etc.) - so here's a short celebration of August Ames, as she lived and breathed:
