I learned about this in my Embodiments of Patriarchy Theory class last semester. Basically the patriarchal sexist society sees men as needing help, or a sympathy symbol, when they are suicidal, but as a microaggression it sees women in the exact same spot as attention seeking, to extreme to be taking seriously, ect. ect.

While female suicide (and attempted suicide, as women attempt suicide far more often than men but aren't as successful at it for some reason) is also a bi-product of the patriarchy, due to oppression and unreasonable expectations.
I recomment you and multiple other people on this sub read up on some feminist literature and educate yourselves on this delicate issue, through the lens of a feminist world view.
