I'm 31 and my hardest years were in high school. Objectively I've been through harder things (bankruptcy, extended hospitalization) as an adult, but I also had the extra tools of greater confidence, knowledge, and experience to handle it. 150 pounds is a lot for a new guy, but 250 is nothing for an experienced weightlifter.
They suck but not in a way that stealing shit makes better. They suck because you have no power or freedom. Stealing makeup from kroger and leaving a mess that I had to clean up for minimum wage doesn't solve your problems.
Those years can suck not because it's hard to have free food and live in someone else's house without paying, but because you're a teenager and thus a fucking idiot. "I wish I knew then what I know now" is attractive for obvious reasons but when it comes to being a teen is doubly nice: I don't need to know the future or which stocks will go up or who to bet on in the Super Bowl, I just need to remember to calm down, do the bare minimum of homework, and focus on all the chicks that are comically horny without tipping off that I am, too. EZ PZ.
lol no dad was an abusive cunt and I got bullied at school. On top of this I was an ugly manlet so I've got raging hormones and literally nobody wants to touch me. I was out there at age 18 and life as a working, independent individual is infinitely better than teenagerdom.
I'm bullying you now though, look at me. What's changed? I have my hand on your head and you're swinging to hit me but your arms aren't long enough btw
I'm sorry about what you're going through, but believe me when I tell you that this is the kind of shit that's going to toughen you up for when life really grabs and shakes you.
u/CasualObserver76, I don't really see how a thief such as yourself can talk about being tough and handling what life throws at you when you're not even strong-willed enough to work for what you have.
U/casualobserver is still sad because his daddy told him he was a dishonest waste of space. Impotently lashing out at productive, employed Americans is the only way that he can express himself 😢
u/CasualObserver76 is too weak to actually put effort into earning something and thinks just taking it like a toddler who wants the candy makes them tough. Apparently running away when you get caught makes you hard.
TIL bank robberies require no real work, now I tots understand why people even bother begging when robbing is so easy and effortless, thanks for enlightening us poor souls !
Tbh, they should check the phones of anyone caught shoplifting, and if they post on /r/shoplifting, they should get the Middle Eastern/African punishment
"I don't get why people who actually work for what they have don't like me taking it. Like, just let me steal it. These losers would probably call the cops if they were nugget or raped. Just give me your wallet and cherry, I want it." - /u/itslippedinmypocket, 2017.
Usually, the sub doesn't care about the moral aspect of it because they say you should only steal from big corporations like Walmart, Walgreens, Target, etc. and they're not really losing anything. A grocery store, on the other hand, is more likely to not be from a large chain corporation.
Get help man. Clearly something else is going on with you. Good luck.
Guilt is a natural emotion to have after committing a crime or getting caught. Are you actually retarded, or are you just so past that point that it doesn't even register?
I was referring to this sentence specifically: "I didn't think I'd care if I got caught because I'd just kill myself before I faced any consequences." It's a little alarming and I'm not referring to any moral aspects of shoplifting. Nice knee-jerk reaction though, you might want to get checked for "retardation" eye roll
Yeah I'm going to take credit because I'm fairly sure at some point I mentioned in a drama thread that the most infuriating thing I'd ever seen on reddit was some guy unironically posting with a signature, despite understanding that his username was on top of every post.
Not just trying but actually doing it. Unless you have reading comprehension issues. A lot of projecting going on with people here (or two anyway). I showed simple concern for a person who is showing signs of suicidal ideation and is having issues at a young age with their parents as well.
No clue what this kid's conditions were. Apparently he was stealing groceries? I doubt he has a job. He isn't in school and his parents have abandoned him or some shit? I dunno. I'm not one to judge and I'm not the kinda person to say anyone should commit suicide under any circumstances. Except you for being a shitty troll. Kys homie.
I'm not a thief? I'm not defending one either. I'm just saying the dude is clearly going through something BEYOND all of that that needs looking into. You might need a break from the internet pal. Or a nap. Cheers.
I didn't give you permission to reply to me. Listen, it was entertaining, first. Hell, it was actually funny. But now I'm getting the feeling that you actually think that you're on my level. From the day I was born, I was destined for success, you little shit. I was brought into this world by a software engineer and and a prominent actuary, both of Norwegian descent. From the moment that the fucking curtains were raised, I was set to dominate the STEM fields. And because I had guardians that actually cared about me, I flourished. Pretty soon, I was placed into a special school of correspondence, specifically I.M Gelfand's school for gifted children in New England. I not only reached my parents' expectations, but I passed them with flying colors. I had raw talent. I was fucking better. I was surrounded by 6th graders, many from Hong Kong, whom were smarter than half the posters in this fucking thread. And now, where am I? In MIT, getting my double BS in Electrical Engineering and Physics, with a Stanford-Binet tested IQ of 147 at age 17. Get this through your head: you are nothing. I am worth more than your entire goddamn family. I'm smarter than you, better looking than you, taller than you, wealthier than you, and more employable than you. While you type out another post to get cheap laughs, I'll be simultaneously working with the brightest minds in the world and fornicating with my beautiful girlfriend. It gets on my nerves when people pretend to be better than me. Know your place, you fucking vermin. Never, ever reply to my posts, again.
That’s nonsense. If you can afford to run a business, you’re part of the 1%. Small carts in the mall are the best way to get a quick haul and often I just throw their stuff away anyways.

I'm glad you all get joy out of me trying to tell adults that if they have kids and families and lives that stealing isn't worth going to jail for. My betterment isn't thanks to any of you mocking me for a laugh.

Unironically posted on a sub dedicated to helping others refine their "craft" of stealing from people who have jobs.
