NEET teen gets caught r/shoplifting. Adult pros tell him his anxiety and guilt is just emo bs and more theft should toughen him up

It's a shame, how even grocery stores now a days are employing those pesky LPs.

Unironically posted on a sub dedicated to helping others refine their "craft" of stealing from people who have jobs.

No, it’s really not.

You just can’t relate.

Eeeeeehhhhhhh idk my teenage years were honestly shit-horrible. I wouldn't go back for all the money on the world.

Yeah. So far my early 20s are wayyyy better than teenage years

I'm 31 and my hardest years were in high school. Objectively I've been through harder things (bankruptcy, extended hospitalization) as an adult, but I also had the extra tools of greater confidence, knowledge, and experience to handle it. 150 pounds is a lot for a new guy, but 250 is nothing for an experienced weightlifter.

They suck but not in a way that stealing shit makes better. They suck because you have no power or freedom. Stealing makeup from kroger and leaving a mess that I had to clean up for minimum wage doesn't solve your problems.

Those years can suck not because it's hard to have free food and live in someone else's house without paying, but because you're a teenager and thus a fucking idiot. "I wish I knew then what I know now" is attractive for obvious reasons but when it comes to being a teen is doubly nice: I don't need to know the future or which stocks will go up or who to bet on in the Super Bowl, I just need to remember to calm down, do the bare minimum of homework, and focus on all the chicks that are comically horny without tipping off that I am, too. EZ PZ.

lol no dad was an abusive cunt and I got bullied at school. On top of this I was an ugly manlet so I've got raging hormones and literally nobody wants to touch me. I was out there at age 18 and life as a working, independent individual is infinitely better than teenagerdom.

I'm bullying you now though, look at me. What's changed? I have my hand on your head and you're swinging to hit me but your arms aren't long enough btw

I'm sorry about what you're going through, but believe me when I tell you that this is the kind of shit that's going to toughen you up for when life really grabs and shakes you.

u/CasualObserver76, I don't really see how a thief such as yourself can talk about being tough and handling what life throws at you when you're not even strong-willed enough to work for what you have.

U/casualobserver is still sad because his daddy told him he was a dishonest waste of space. Impotently lashing out at productive, employed Americans is the only way that he can express himself 😢

/u/casualobserver76 imagine being a less productive member of society than a high school kid working a minimum wage job

/u/casualobserver76 next time, shoplift some booze and rope lol

theft is work

I work plenty for what I have. Just because I'm a thief doesn't mean I'm unemployed.

I work for what I have by avoiding working for it and creating disturbed burden upon others.

WOW

Active in: /r/sex, /r/atheism, /r/Shoplifting.

Just because you're employed doesn't mean you aren't a degenerate.

Obviously you aren't working enough if you are still out there stealing instead of resting your feet for the next day of work.

I hope someone steals it all

Stop stealing from /r/drama by downvoting the lolcows.

u/CasualObserver76 is too weak to actually put effort into earning something and thinks just taking it like a toddler who wants the candy makes them tough. Apparently running away when you get caught makes you hard.

TIL bank robberies require no real work, now I tots understand why people even bother begging when robbing is so easy and effortless, thanks for enlightening us poor souls !

It's a shame, how even grocery stores now a days are employing those pesky LPs.

What's really a shame is that security can't beat the shit out of these wee cunt nuggets like they did back in the olden days.

Tbh, they should check the phones of anyone caught shoplifting, and if they post on /r/shoplifting, they should get the Middle Eastern/African punishment

Middle eastern is cut off a hand. African is kick them to death in a dusty street. I say African

Cut off their hand and beat them to death with it? I think that might be the proper multicultural response.

Makes me long for Islam

Soon, inshallah.

Inshallah brother

Hahaa... y-yeah guys lets all praise Mohamed together..!

The best praise you can give is the butchering of a mayo subhuman

Yeah uhh uhh mayonnaise cider now! Hahaha inns allah my friend!

Nigga why does everything you say sound so soft?

Aw yeah cultural enrichment.

No! Deus Vult!

/u/WHY_WE_NEED_ISLAM, get your ass in here.

"I don't get why people who actually work for what they have don't like me taking it. Like, just let me steal it. These losers would probably call the cops if they were nugget or raped. Just give me your wallet and cherry, I want it." - /u/itslippedinmypocket, 2017.

Usually, the sub doesn't care about the moral aspect of it because they say you should only steal from big corporations like Walmart, Walgreens, Target, etc. and they're not really losing anything. A grocery store, on the other hand, is more likely to not be from a large chain corporation.

/u/helsquiades

Get help man. Clearly something else is going on with you. Good luck.

Guilt is a natural emotion to have after committing a crime or getting caught. Are you actually retarded, or are you just so past that point that it doesn't even register?

I was referring to this sentence specifically: "I didn't think I'd care if I got caught because I'd just kill myself before I faced any consequences." It's a little alarming and I'm not referring to any moral aspects of shoplifting. Nice knee-jerk reaction though, you might want to get checked for "retardation" eye roll

Amazing... I think it's trying to communicate

Is that a signature? Are you posting on reddit with a signature?

Yeah I'm going to take credit because I'm fairly sure at some point I mentioned in a drama thread that the most infuriating thing I'd ever seen on reddit was some guy unironically posting with a signature, despite understanding that his username was on top of every post.

/u/UncleSamuel was the reddit signature OG, tbf.

Not just trying but actually doing it. Unless you have reading comprehension issues. A lot of projecting going on with people here (or two anyway). I showed simple concern for a person who is showing signs of suicidal ideation and is having issues at a young age with their parents as well.

But, uh, good troll m8.

When you steal out of greed and not necessity you probably deserve to commit suicide tbh

"There Is No Future But What We Make Of Of It" - u/imnotagayboy

No clue what this kid's conditions were. Apparently he was stealing groceries? I doubt he has a job. He isn't in school and his parents have abandoned him or some shit? I dunno. I'm not one to judge and I'm not the kinda person to say anyone should commit suicide under any circumstances. Except you for being a shitty troll. Kys homie.

Man, that guys post history lol..

I didn't even have to check

The moron that takes pride in being a thief kind of loses the right to call anyone retarded. Why don't you get an actual job/u/helsquiades?

I'm not a thief? I'm not defending one either. I'm just saying the dude is clearly going through something BEYOND all of that that needs looking into. You might need a break from the internet pal. Or a nap. Cheers.

I didn't give you permission to reply to me. Listen, it was entertaining, first. Hell, it was actually funny. But now I'm getting the feeling that you actually think that you're on my level. From the day I was born, I was destined for success, you little shit. I was brought into this world by a software engineer and and a prominent actuary, both of Norwegian descent. From the moment that the fucking curtains were raised, I was set to dominate the STEM fields. And because I had guardians that actually cared about me, I flourished. Pretty soon, I was placed into a special school of correspondence, specifically I.M Gelfand's school for gifted children in New England. I not only reached my parents' expectations, but I passed them with flying colors. I had raw talent. I was fucking better. I was surrounded by 6th graders, many from Hong Kong, whom were smarter than half the posters in this fucking thread. And now, where am I? In MIT, getting my double BS in Electrical Engineering and Physics, with a Stanford-Binet tested IQ of 147 at age 17. Get this through your head: you are nothing. I am worth more than your entire goddamn family. I'm smarter than you, better looking than you, taller than you, wealthier than you, and more employable than you. While you type out another post to get cheap laughs, I'll be simultaneously working with the brightest minds in the world and fornicating with my beautiful girlfriend. It gets on my nerves when people pretend to be better than me. Know your place, you fucking vermin. Never, ever reply to my posts, again.

Definitely a break from the internet more than a nap.

That’s nonsense. If you can afford to run a business, you’re part of the 1%. Small carts in the mall are the best way to get a quick haul and often I just throw their stuff away anyways.

Most people running a small business are on a loan and not rich.

If you can get a loan, you are rich.

In the US? not at all. Like 90% of the US could get a loan with a decent business pitch.

That’s ableist

I'm pretty sure they were being sarcastic, especially with the "I just throw their stuff away anyways" line.

If you can afford to run a business, you’re part of the 1%.

100% bullshit.

The worse crime here is downvoting the lolcows.

I didn't think I'd care if I got caught because I'd just kill myself before I faced any consequences.

/u/junjito it's not yet too late

Think of how famous you'll be, that porn star made it to r/all

That only worked b/c she was an attractive gurl who showed boobies, and that combination is very popular on reddit. Nobody cares if ugly people like /u/junjito off themselves.

well she was probably more famous before she died, i mean who is looking for "vintage august ames 2017" porn when so much new content is released daily

Selfmayocide is always the answer.

Man, bunch of tough guys in there. This is the same sub that thinks shoplifting is a victimless crime, but starts crying like a baby when someone steals a cat.

Pls keep your orange kitter safe!! <3

Lmaooo

Yeah this was 8 months ago. I was actually banned from /r/shoplifting for that

there is a difference between illegal and immoral. The sooner you learn that the sooner we can overthrow the government.

LOLOLOLOLOL! The exact type of people I would have guessed.

It's really a great thread. I want to commend the OP of it, i'm sure he's a cool guy.

Honor amongst thieves, and all that.

Teens are a bigger threat to the world than ISIS and US foreign policy combined.

Autists come in all sorts of shape, size and age. How kind of you to prove it all on your lonesome !

Why the fuck is there a subreddit dedicated to glorifying theft? Is that what people call "toxic"?

Just now saw this. I started stealing because I didn't have food. I got away with it and got addicted to stealing because I could, not because I needed to.

I wasn't in school and didn't give a shit about a lot of things, even criminal activity.

My mum got child protective services called on her and now I live with my grandma. I'm back in school and doing a lot better and am hopefully less of a shitty person.

I'm glad you all get joy out of me trying to tell adults that if they have kids and families and lives that stealing isn't worth going to jail for. My betterment isn't thanks to any of you mocking me for a laugh.
