You’re joking right? That’s the most insane thing I’ve ever heard in my life. It’s widely known that false rape accusations make up an extremely small percentage of accusation. The FBI estimates that it’s around 2-3% and other research organizations estimate it to be an even smaller percentage than that.

TIL estimates are facts
/u/Jdw033 why stop there? I estimate that 100% of rape accusations are true. Problem solved!
Hey buddy let’s say I give you a bowl with thousands of delicious candies. You lick your lips, drooling at the sight. But hold up. I poisoned 2-3% of them. Based on general estimates.
Well, other organisations estimate that it's way higher, but why listen to them? You know, police departments and so on who actually deal with this shit.
The police who have higher than average rates of domestic violence, have been charged with hiding domestic abuse charges, and are legally allowed to have sex with a prostitute before arresting her for prostitution?
Yeah, they have no reason to skew rape statistics or to villainize victims.
A good way of thinking it is this: police are just strangers with guns. They have no legal obligation to know and understand the law. They have no legal obligation to help anyone. There are laws protecting them from almost all wrong doing.
You can trust them if you want, but that has ended badly for a lot of people who have called them and gotten killed or gotten a family member killed.
