This is probably the wrong subreddit to ask this in, but why "living rent free in your head" an insult or a bad thing?
Why is it bad to be thoughtful? When I encounter posters that I think of as trolls in communities I frequent on either side of the spectrum, I spend at least some time to thinking about their motivation for doing so.
That time isn't wasted thought. It affords me the opportunity to think about how public discourse happens overall, how political discourse happens with extended family members and other people whose persons I respect but whose political opinions I don't.
There is value added, for me at least, to think about shitposting trollards, more than just being angry that people are daring to think differently than I am.
That's a roundabout cuck way of asking why it's bad, but there it is.
