If you’re trying to quit drinking and you’re shaking and whatnot, you should have someone around just in case you have a seizure. The only detoxes that can kill people are alcohol and benzodiazepines.
You know you’re not actually supposed to quit that shot cold turkey right? Actually keep yourself safe by discussing this with a medical professional 😭
There have been people who developed permanent damage to their sight (blind spots in their vision) due extreme alcohol withdrawal. Happened to my uncle years ago because he didn't listen to his doctor telling him that he really should take vitamins while quitting.
Why would you replace one addiction with another? Kratom is not a good habit. It can leave you with pretty serious withdrawal symptoms, it costs a lot, there's no quality control (who knows what % of each bag is some random plant the uneducated Indonesian farmer who bagged it decided to throw in), and there is next to no information about the long term health effects of kratom use. I'm all for people using kratom to get off heroin or painkillers but there's a reason it gets rid of your opiate withdrawal symptoms. It's an opiate-like drug with a terrible high, not some miracle cure.
Nothing on this subreddit is worth clicking on, but I clicked on this. I guess you are blessed this day. I got ten bucks giving someone a lift and then got drunk all day, it was glorious. You'll be back on your feet doing stupid stuff like that again in no time, just let this pass over you like a wave in the ocean.

I wouldn’t know. I’ve never tried to quit!

I can quit anytime I want. I just don’t want to.

What are /r/drama withdrawals? Is that when you shave, shower and go outside?

Just imagine that you're a tumblrina who is literally shaking right now but it will all get better soon.

Don't worry you'd be shaking after 24hours if you were having proper withdrawals.

Actually he should be worried. Alcohol detox that bad can kill someone. He should get himself checked out by a doctor to be safe.
Unless he lives in America of course, then it'd be cheaper to just die.

Lol US healthcare. But nah you would probably not be just getting shakes after 6 days dry 48hrs maybe.

Get better! Not being a drunk addict feels nice if you can find a way to occupy your time. You can also try replacing booze with kratom.
