I simply tell them about facts, like how climate change is caused by humans and a threat to humanity and that Trump's gov't is one of the few that opposes researching and preventing it. I just tell them that the CDC was banned from writing certain words and they flipped a shit because they recognize how terrible that is. I tell them clean energy is the future and that Trump opposes it and they're horrified. See, convincing children to follow your political beliefs is easy because they're smart and they recognize terrible things when they see them. No political grandstanding required!

Tell that to the seniors who have signed up to vote and told me, citing me as the reason why. They've told me about the candidates they've been looking at, all dems in a red state. So proud :')

What science lesson plan involves seizing the means of production or talking about budgetary memos in the CDC?

Climate change isn't caused by humans. It is influenced by human behavior. Otherwise you have some explaining to do on how the climate managed to change before humans even existed.

Leftism has jack shit to do with the environment unless you mean it helps prevent pollution because it kills millions of its followers through terror genocide or planned institutional starvation.

I don't advocate for communism because I'm not a communist. I don't advocate for any particular political ideology, only civic engagement.

There's a reason environmentalists are leftists the majority of the time, and that's because we do a better job of keeping the planet we live on cleaner. The study of the environment is a science, believe it or not, and I'm allowed to create extra credit projects that involve science.

I recommend you study a bit because climate change is indeed most influenced by carbon emissions. It's not a discussion we have in my class because there's nothing to discuss. It's a fact. What we discuss is the measures taken to mitigate its effects. So far, unsurprisingly, Trump has done a shit job and my students know it.

Kids are a lot smarter than you give them credit. They're eager to learn given the right circumstances and I make sure to create those conditions. So far I've had enormous success.
