The literal answer to your question is that "hate speech" does not legally exist in the U.S. and is not a traditionally recognized exception to free speech. The only justice on the Supreme Court who has voted for any new free speech exceptions ever on the current court is Alito. Hate speech laws violate the first amendment protections of all Americans, and that's why we can't have them

But we have a strong individualist/rebellious streak here, and our 1st amendment is pretty clear on the issue. So we could have a constitutional convention, and then we could tighten up our free speech laws considerably.
I do think we could move the line to not accepting threats against specific people or groups. Right now I think that is enforced "in the moment", we could think about how to tighten it up because you can make that argument that specific threats have moved beyond our limits of free speech. Gonna be quite messy though, and I would definitely err on the side of "let it continue" than "shut it down".

It is my opinion that personally, I feel that there's some misunderstanding of autism. But we have a strong individualist/rebellious streak here, and our 1st amendment is pretty clear on the issue. So we could have a constitutional convention, and then we could tighten up our free speech laws considerably.
I do think we could move the line to not accepting threats against specific people or groups. Right now I think that is enforced "in the moment", we could think about how to tighten it up because you can make that argument that specific threats have moved beyond our limits of free speech. Gonna be quite messy though, and I would definitely err on the side of "let it continue" than "shut it down".

Not everyone at a protest is antifa. Antifa is usually a few dozen people at most, even in a big city. (I hung out with one of these antifa chapters in a city on the west coast--they may have had 15 members at most.) The media, big or small, will then go on to say everyone at the protest was antifa. But most people at the protests tend to be liberals, socialists, sometimes commies and anarchists, none of which are automatically antifa. It's a lot like the narrative that organized white supremacists number in the hundreds of thousands or even millions. No, the core which actually organizes is much smaller than many think. Most of the people who show up at these rallies aren't members of any particular organization or ideology.

It is my opinion that personally, I feel that there's some misunderstanding of autism. I was misdiagnosed with autism as a kid from a psychiatrist but I grew out of it and am now socially and functionally normal so even though I was diagnosed I am neither autistic since I don't act autistic in real life or online.
I often feel that the term autism is overused and that now everyone who is autistic online isn't autistic by a doctor and vice versa but this person is autistic. Those are just some of my thoughts.
