I only follow the patriarchal aspects of Islam. Not the aspects that make you a cuck e.g. Abstaining from womanising, penetrating a sweet trap virgin ass and lowering your gaze.
u/d1spos1tion I've always been of the opinion that when someone who disagrees with me is right, the best response is ad hominem. I'm glad you and I are on the same page.
This series started started with some ridiculous bestial premise that in real life would be dismissed as a joke(that David Cameron's story, by the way, was almost 100% a lie inspired by the show in first place).
This show is the definition of edginess. Is being extreme for the sake of being extreme. But how it contains swear words instead of cartoon hedgehogs, everyone thinks it's serious.
so what. It was probably the most entertaining episode in the entire show and the writer finally fleshed out one of his near future alternate realities. Crocodile has a way cooler tech gimmick but the episode sucks ass
I watched White Christmas and thought it was really good, so later when my dad and I were sharing a hotel room I was like, "hey why don't we watch this cool show I found?" The show had really good reviews, so I assumed all the episodes would generally be of good quality. So I put on White Bear pretty much at random. When we finished the episode we basically looked at each other and said "that was shit."
USS Callister is REALLY amazing (focus on the ethical aspect and essentially try to imagine yourself in their position to be empathetic. It helps)
Arkangel is kinda bad lol. Had potential but didn't turn out good
Crocodile was shit. Even the basic theme was shit.
Hang the DJ is entertaining is all. They don't really focus on the philosophical and ethical aspects of the tech but it's still enjoyable. You won't get bored, that's a given.
Metalhead? I mean why even? Like what's the point of this whole episode lol
Black Museum is REALLY good. Like I really like it even if it's a bunch of stories. I love it.
I've seen White Christmas and again, it's really good. Not better than Black Museum tho.
Clippy was an abused office intern at Microsoft HQ that Bill Gates ejected into MS Office so he could masturbate to his God-like control over humanity.
essentially try to imagine yourself in their position to be empathetic. It helps. Also it's not all serious
Lol wow, this is 2018 and we have to tell people to try to be empathetic. It's supposed to be automatic, that's what empathy is. It's hilarious that we are so cruel and heartless that we have to do this
That was the only episode I watched and I couldn't make it all the way through. It was just as cheesy as Community's Meow Meow Beans but it wasn't trying to be funny.
Idk tbh. I'll be watching 4 earlier episodes of Black Mirror mainly S02 and S03 and then I'll tell you what to start with. You need to know a little bit before going right in S04. Just as a caution. Personally? I'd suggest White Christmas or USS Callister. Before Callister, I had NoseDive, shut up and dance and San Junipero
Interesting. Been getting a lot of mixed signals on which one is a good episode. I've heard San Junipero is considered the best, but you hated it. Same with Callister. Everyone seems to agree that Nosedive is the worst though, so maybe I will give it another chance.
You need to know a little bit before going right in S04.
The first and last both are my best tbh. Can't decide between them. Absolutely loved Hated in the Nation. White Christmas was good too. Be right back was good. Didn't bore me at all.
Well, none of the consequences in the episode happen because of the app and ultimately they end up together because of it. Itβs not really critical of tinder at all. Itβs critical of hookup culture that happens when youβre not paired with your true algorithm match. i think it was much more shallow than San Junipero
It's a commentary on the implications of AI living out simulations of life, the suffering they "endure" and the morality of forcing a seemingly conscious entity through 1000s of simulations with suffering, love, depression, etc.. all in the name of improving your dating life. It's almost exactly the same themes as San Junipero (and the original cookie assistant episode before it) just told through a different story.
That episode was also out long before Trump. I didn't like it at first either but it's grown on me after the last campaign. Definitely much more interesting now.
The good ole days, you know when black people were auctioned off as our slaves and you could legally hit women with anything the size of your fist or smaller. Miss 'em.
I've never watched the show, so go ahead and ruin the whole plot for me so I don't have to. Also if you could ruin Game of Thrones as well, I would appreciate that. I don't have time for that shit either.
what is it that stops people from having nuanced opinions on the internet. why cant people make a post like, "I want to talk with other people that don't like black mirror", as opposed to "HURRR AM I THE ONLY ONE THAT THINKS BLACK MIRROR IS UTTER SHIT IF YOU LIKE IT UR A CHILD WITH BAD TASTE"
The premises are kinda creative, though many have been examined before. It's just that the show doesn't actually take them to any creative conclusion. It's kinda easy to guess what the show will end at during the middle once one has seen a few episodes and has a handle on the pattern.
Yeah it's very impressive if you've never cracked open a sci-fi novel, which in these days is likely common. You're also right about the shallow analysis of it all, but people are still really impressed by it.
I posted in r/tv that the San Junipero episode wasnβt actually a positive episode like all of Reddit thought and actually felt like what an angry edgy atheist tech worker who thinks himself as a god figure because he can code and make products would write. 1 tr1207 2018-01-04
Well, none of the consequences in the episode happen because of the app and ultimately they end up together because of it. Itβs not really critical of tinder at all.
