If Obama did 0.1% of the shit Trump does Evangelical America would be in an uproar, losing their shit.
The only good thing to come of this election is the fact evangelicals and their constant virtue signaling bullshit has been exposed on the national stage.
I better never hear or see the words "family values" again.
Who the fuck told you that? The voice's in your empty head? Mike "Mother won't me go to dinner meetings if women are there" Pence says stupid anti-gay shit all the time. Dude can't stop thinking or talking about it.
In 2006, as head of the Republican Study Committee, a group of the 100 most-conservative House members, Pence rose in support of a constitutional amendment that would have defined marriage as between a man and a woman. Citing a Harvard researcher, Pence said in his speech, “societal collapse was always brought about following an advent of the deterioration of marriage and family.” Pence also called being gay a choice and said keeping gays from marrying was not discrimination, but an enforcement of “God’s idea.”
More?
? The Employment Non-Discrimination Act would have banned discrimination against people based on sexual orientation. Pence voted against that law in 2007 and later said the law “wages war on freedom and religion in the workplace.”
More?
Pence favored the longtime military policy of not letting soldiers openly identify as gay. In 2010, Pence told CNN he did not want to see the military become “a backdrop for social experimentation.” The policy ended in 2011.
More?
The guy is a complete fucking retard and absolutely anti-gay.
So Mike pence held the exact same views as democrats at the time. Don't ask don't tell was made a law by Bill Clinton. Freedom is for everyone, not just gay people. And Obama was anti-gay marriage until like 2012.
This is insane, there's a difference between personally not agreeing with gay marriage but supporting equality, and personally disagreeing with gay marriage and trying to make it illegal.
Yeah, find me the press clipping where Pence changed his stance on gay marriage acceptance or shut the fuck up. /u/Pizzashill is embarrassing you and frankly, that shouldn't happen to anyone with more than two whole functioning brain cells.
no one talks about abortion or gay rights anymore, the left won those battles
If you think the abortion debate is anywhere near settled either you're living under a rock, or your definition of "abortion" is using the morning-after pill.
How are you so retarded as to think that someone wrote a letter affirming their lack of sexual relations with somebody and WASN'T paid hush money to do it.
In Touch magazine has published excerpts from a shelved 2011 interview with adult film star Stormy Daniels, in which she describes multiple alleged sexual encounters with then-future President Donald Trump.
Not only is she saying it, another pornstar is saying it.
I better never hear or see the words "family values" again.
My impression of the GOP primary process was that Rubio and Cruz mostly split the evangelical vote and that's the reason why Trump ended up getting the nomination.
Out of all the groups in the GOP, they're probably the one most likely to agree with you that Trump doesn't represent them. The fact that they're mostly staying quiet could be attributed to just normal partisanship, sure, but it's disingenuous to act like they ever had any sort of tangible support for President Potatohead in any case.
Trump has overwhelming support within the evangelical community.
These are the same people that claimed morality was superior to policy for the last 20 years, the same people that viciously attacked atheists and people from other religious groups, and constantly screeched about family values - and now not only do they support the very antithesis to the dogma they've been pushing for most of this countries history, but they supported a literal fucking pedo in Alabama.

A) I very clearly just showed Trump pandering to "family values voters."
B) To THIS FUCKING DAY conservatives are still screeching at gay people and still screeching over abortion.
Trump himself claimed he would overturn row v wade.

Is this bizarro world?
You know Trump picked one of the most rabidly anti-gay politicians in the country as VP, right?
