I’m the guy who conceived of and built this subreddit. It was a fun ride and I’m glad that so many of you enjoyed it.

I’ve decided to change the direction of the sub and will begin posting content shortly.

There’s a clamoring for the story, so here it is...

I’m a dude, an old hairy dude. Know that.

Last spring I began dating the woman that you’ve seen in pictures on this account. She’s a beautiful, funny and smart woman.

It occurred to me that the hottest posts weren’t necessarily the ones with the hottest women, they were the posts where you got a tiny glimpse into what the woman was like. The idea for what you know as r/OhNoMomWentWild was born.

I began to message women to see if they would join the sub. It caused friction between my girlfriend and me at first, she didn’t see the vision as clearly as I did. We worked it out and the sub began to get momentum.

I created the dad’s sub. I look at this as the biggest mistake I made. I understand that there are people that like it, but to me it gave this sub an “exclusive club” feeling between the women who post here and the men who post there. I could see how people who just wanted to enjoy this sub would feel left out.

Granted, I’m a grumpy old man, but the men’s sub also makes me uneasy. Seeing grown men do “theme day” and celebrating 3000 subscribers is silly to me. To each his own, but the feeling absolutely plays into my bias against the sub.

Holy shit, you’re still coming here? Let’s do something with this place.

Anyway, because the sub is locked the discussion has moved outside into places like /r/askredditafterdark:

If so, you may want to go and subscribe to r/onmww instead. The guy who started the original went full "nice guy/incel", and the actual ladies involved in making the sub so fun and successful are matriculating over to the new one. I hope you all will join them.

as some of you know, there's been some issues with /r/OhNoMomWentWild and r/OhNoDadWentWild. The mod team has been kicked off, all approved posters have been removed and the subs have been set to private. We thought it was temporary but looks to be permanent, so we are fighting it with Reddit admin but am not sure if we will be given control back. So in the meantime, I am in the midst of creating new ones. I hope to have them up and ready to go in a couple of hours but will be focusing on these three subs (he stole the informational sub for posters as well) for a few days. When I do get them back up and running, I'll let you know and hope to see you there!

Porn sub posters tend to be weird at the best of times

Some seem to are people discussing porn like any other interest board but a large amount of other users seem to use porn as a way to validate their world view and heavily look down on porn viewers and creators while posting constantly about it

Strangely it seems to be mostly in the more "causal" porn subs like thrashyboners and not the more violent and hardcore subs where they vote down anyone who starts the ole "how women should be treated am i right??"
