This is a nice post and all, but I'm guessing that the only reason anyone is even arguing about this because these people believe 3D is superior to 2D.
Perhaps we could alleviate animal suffering by hooking them all up to a machine and pumping heroin into them until they die? And then use the heroin-soaked corpses to make food for the other animals once they're born, to make sure they're addicted and docile.
u/nemo1889 lets slip the real vegan agenda- systematic extermination of all the hateful, violent species. So, are you personally going to decide which animals go on the 'naughty list', u/nemo1889? Have you thought about the logistics? Rounding up all the world's cats, dogs, wolves, lions, dolphins, whales, etc, and shipping them off on catle-cars to be mass gassed might sound like a beautiful utopian dream, but I wonder if the reality might get a bit messy?

But in an ideal world, the ultimate goal that vegans are pursuing is the total extermination of species like, say, all whales and, dolphins, polar bears, 99% of reptiles, all snakes frogs and toads, dogs, cats, etc?

On a totally unrelated note, any opinions on the idea that the human brain needs the nutrients from red meat to function properly?
With the necessary knowledge, we could breed carnivores out of existence through genetic mutation. Species extinction (absent competing ecological concerns) isn't a bad thing. Species are a taxonomic abstraction. Individuals have moral worth.
