Guns only cause problems everywhere they go. That is why we have to give them only to the most trained and difficult to achieve positions in the nation: Police Officers.
Kinda, they still kill whitey too, but they don't seperate that stuff when they are talking gun crime.
Most of the big cities anti gun laws are based on a solid foundation of racism. Chicago fights getting even legal gun ranges, in large part because they don't want them learning how to shoot properly.
Random schoolchildren not getting their spines severed by stray bullets prevent the holier-than-thou platform of WE WILL FIGHT THE EVIL OF THE GUN WITH MORE REGULATION. HAVE YOU EVER THOUGHT OF THE CHILDREN YOU MONSTER.
And then, I guess fifty or so positions down, there's homicides with measly 16.5k victims. Of which 2/3rds weren't using a firearm anyways. Of which only a fraction would be eliminated rather than displaced by stricter gun control laws.
In terms of preventing deaths, gun control debate should hold about the same place and intensity in the public sphere as such exciting questions like how often senior citizens should be retested for their driving licenses. Or, apparently more than 30,000 Americans died as a result of falling in 2016, why are people here so unsteady on their feet and should we maybe make thick soft carpets mandatory everywhere?
But no, it turns out that Conservatives are very protective of their gun ownership rights because of the general paranoia, and of course that's the sole real reason Progressives want to take those away, just to piss them off. And apparently pissing them off is more important than not getting Trump elected or generally effecting any sort of actually consequential societal changes. Utter retardation.
That's easy! To get around that, gun control advocates simply lump in self-inflicted gunshot wounds with all of the murders and attempted murders. Otherwise, yeah, murder's been down for a couple of decades now.
You probably said something that wasn't un-American enough in some other, totally unrelated sub. SAS has been entertaining at times, but it's basically /r/the_Donald for people who hate the US now.

What is really being said is basketball americas like to murder people.
1 RedHorseRider 2018-01-26
But they're mostly murdering each other. Basketball on basketball crime is almost exclusively a problem for basketball players.

I feel like that's counterproductive. Wouldn't it be better if gangbangers were MORE accurate?
1 Chicup 2018-01-26
Chicago is run by democrats and horribly corrupt (same thing really) so did you expect them to realize this?

The whole gun control debate is the very essence of political retardation. Googling "us causes of death 2016" gives me:

Way more gun deaths are accidents or suicides than homicide. The problem with guns is that many people are too stupid to be allowed to have them.

Similarly, the problem with reddit is that many people are too stupid to not triple-post.
