This is a nice post and all, but I'm guessing that the only reason anyone is even arguing about this because these people believe 3D is superior to 2D.
OK, so you didn't see the part where the rubric said the final exam was worth 100 marks so OP assumed that was a massive chunk of their grade, when in reality due to the way the online lab weighted things the final only accounted for 7% of their grade?
Or you didn't see the part where after being a pretentious dick to the prof the OP then when crying to the dean saying how unfair it was that they lost marks for not doing to coursework?
And then after the prof had raised their mark to a C (which OP totally didn't deserve) they continued to whinge and cry about how mean the prof was?
Absolutely right, this massive dumbass couldn't legitmately get above a D in an online Econ 101 class and those dummies are celebrating it like it's a win.
Just love the part where OP goes "If I knew bothered to look and find out that the final was only worth that much I would have turned in a better report".
WTF were you thinking? You're already good at tests, you spend a few minutes brushing up on that so you can gt a decent mark on the final, and focus on the fucking course work because you know that's where you need to work.
Intro courses are basically idiot tests that make sure you have basic responsibility and study skills. You know, the shit that actually matters in the real world. College degrees being worth less and less might have something to do with this if these are the kids graduating right now.
So OP doesn't even have their shit together enough to log on once a week and go AFK, and do some simple online quizzes. Worse than I thought. Useless millennials
The rubric was not posted. We can only read what the OP wrote. It's not difficult to write a rubric that clearly states the percentage each component has to the final grade, without mentioning points. But the underpaid teacher clearly couldn't be assed.
You have to really read between the lines to put the full blame on OP.
No, the prof phoned it in too, because it's a BS time management course. That OP still managed to nearly fail by half-assing it and waiting until the last minute to get their shit together, yet anyone in that thread who isn't fellating the OP for being such a badass is getting downvoted to oblivion. So yeah, they deserve a shit sandwich and a D. It's not the end of the world to get a bad mark, and if it really is that big of a deal then OP is even more of a dumbass for assuming they could coast.
Tbf that syllabus does seem pretty confusing, but it's not something to figure out after the semester's over. Ideally the guy's grade would've still stayed a D but the prof would get a talking to from admin

What I read in the thread and what you describe in your title are two completely different things.

Oh shit, I had those types of courses too.

OP is probably a shit student with decently severe mental illnesses, I know I was!
1 Butch_Patterson 2018-01-26
No, if OP had mental illness I might show a little empathy, being an autistic retard myself.

Well I'm just saying that with me, my depression and anxiety led me to blow off all my classes...

Prof sounds like he was phoning in it too, no doubt. A talking too and maybe even a "we need to review your lesson plans" type thing.
