it becomes harmful not when the group is marginalized poorly represented and their image is entirely based on jokes and harmful stereotypes. Also, jokes can easily be confused with real hatred.
I couldn’t agree more, /u/Pinuzzo. People who make fun of rednecks are objectively terrible people. I’m glad to see someone finally standing up to the hatred and vitriol of the progressive movement.
