Just this week, there's a story about the maker of Gravy Train, Meow Mix and other high-visibility brands of pet food testing positive for high levels of pentobarbital. This investigation follows a report of a woman whose five dogs wound up at the vet because of pentobarb-contaminated pet food. One died, four survived.
That's why we need government. Major US brand is illegally buying unregulated meat/bone meal from Mexico or China. This isn't some "consumer beware" -- who has the means to test fucking Gravy Train before feeding it to their furbabies?
