I skimmed this thing, I like these quotes (but there is a ton of gold in this "peer reviewed" article, it's worth reading if you have access):

She tells the story of when she's in high school helping her black friend fill out his Stanford application:

The application was one page, front and back, and looked far simpler than the college applications I’d been filling out. ... ‘How is this fair? I could never get in to Stanford but he might get a scholarship to go and he can’t even fill out the application by himself ’
Of course this no-no thought was probably the original sin that led her, 20+ years later to be writing "critical autoethnography" for some whacko journal. She even says it had nothing to do with race, but rather that he was an athlete, but she still has to atone.
Let me remind everyone that arguments from articles like this will be used in stupid internet fights and the people posting them will claim they're a good authority because of "peer review." Like that stupid story will probably be cited somewhere as evidence of unimpeachable evidence of racism towards student athletes in some idiotic ghazi thread.
