He's Joe Manchin, one of the few remaining Blue Dog Democrats, who has been trying to walk the very fine line of not pissing off his very pro-life constituency, but also not piss off the Democratic base and risk getting primaried. As the pictures demonstrate, he's managing this by being fairly disingenuous to both sides.
WV has some divergence between presidential and other elections. I want Manchin to win because he pisses off everybody, except apparently West Virginians.

He's a West Virginian Democrat. We've still got a number of them left. He's actually decently liked in the state and was a pretty decent governor too.
